Yesterday saw the latest Adidas boot updates go on pre-order & launch with a campaign named ‘there will be haters’.
Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez, Karim Benzema & James Rodriguez are the stars spearheading the campaign which really taps into some of the hate that footballers receive from the terraces in the modern day game.
It seems that in every aspect of their life, from their behaviour on Twitter, to the way they dress sense & even sometimes to how they look – footballers are criticised at every turn by fans.
This is evident from the entertaining launch video that gives us a few ‘examples’ of what may be seen on Twitter
#smug – Gareth Bale
#cheat – Luis Suarez
#fugly – Karim Benzema
#freak – James Rodriguez
But, as the video also states, having ‘haters’ simply drives these top professionals on to be the best that they can be & they thrive on it.
Here we take a closer look at the shiny new boot colour ups.
F50 – The main feature of this campaign, the F50 is still as light as ever & remains the brands top boot for speed players such as the ones featured in the video. The red styling with graphic print & snakeskin pattern certainly makes this colour way stand out on pitch.
Predator – Ahhh the classic Predator. Still an ever present in the adi collection & invigorated since the scrapping of the mi coach chip in the silo allowed the iconic stripes to make a return to the soleplate. Moves on from the previous Black & Red 20th anniversary colour way in to this striking Red & Blue.
Nitrocharge – Adi’s youngest silo is labelled as the ultimate box to box midfielders boot for the ultimate powerhouses of the game – admittedly a smaller demographic of players compared to the Predator or F50. However, it has proved to be a great addition to the family & the newest blue & purple colour is a nice change.
11Pro – Amazingly comfortable with classic styling, the leather 11Pro is always going to popular amongst footballers. Coming off the back of one of arguably the best colour ways that adi have produced in a while, (Decembers Black with orange stripe) these white boots look incredibly slick. These are my personal favourite!
What do you think of the ‘there will always be haters’ boots? Which boots are your favourite?
